Our kiddo wasted no time turning our spacious adjoining rooms into a playground of creativity. Before long we were building the coziest hotel forts and making shadow puppets against the lamplight. It was simple, imaginative, staycation-style fun, the kind of moments core holiday memories are made of.
A quick tip: if you’re considering a stay here, upgrading to a Club Level room is absolutely worth it. Not only do you get fantastic views of the Kansas City skyline, but you also gain access to the Club Lounge, where a hot breakfast is served every morning. Throughout the day you can grab snacks and drinks, and in the evenings they bring out delicious treats for happy hour. It made our stay feel extra relaxing, extra cozy, and honestly a little extra magical.

One of our favorite moments was waking up, heading downstairs, and walking right across the street to ice skate at the Crown Center Ice Terrace. The convenience is unbeatable. It felt like stepping straight into a winter adventure, and when we were done, we could head right back to our room to change and keep exploring. One of the best perks is that you don’t even have to step outside if you don’t want to—everything is connected by indoor walkways, so no dragging coats around!
